Một cuốn sách hay: HEART OF A BUDDHA (IV)
14.
Everything
arises
from the mind.
It is thoughts
that lead us into trouble,
not other people.
Vạn pháp khởi từ tâm.
Chính tư duy mới dẫn ta đến phiền não chứ không phải do ai khác.
15.
Everything that happens to us
is the results of what we
ourselves have
thought, said, or done.
We alone are responsible
for our lives.
Cái gì xảy đến với ta
là kết quả của
thân khẩu ý
do chính ta tạo.
Chỉ mình ta
phải chịu cho đời mình.
16.
When we think only of sincerely
helping all others,
not ourselves,
we will find that we receive all
that we wish for.
Khi ta chỉ nghĩ đến
thật tình cứu giúp người
không phải ta,
ta sẽ thấy ta nhận được tất cả
những gì ta mong ước.
17.
Whatever suffering there is in
this world,
all arises from
desiring only myself
to be happy.
And whatever joy there is
in this world
all arises from
desiring to share my happiness
with everyone.
Bất cứ khổ đau nào
có trên đời này
đều do mong cầu
hạnh phúc cho riêng mình.
Bất cứ niềm vui nào
có trên đời này
đều do mình muốn
được chia xẻ hạnh phúc với mọi người.
18.
Ignorance leads to ego,
ego to selfishness,
selfishness to resentment,
resentment to anger,
anger to hatred,
hatred to annihilation.
Vô minh dẫn đến cái tôi,
cái tôi đưa đến ích kỷ,
ích kỷ dẫn đến sân hận,
sân hận đưa đến hận thù,
hận thù dẫn đến tiêu vong.
